Negative Air Machine Calculator

Posted on August 14, 2023

Negative air machines are used to clean the air and create negative pressure in medical facilities, factories, commercial buildings, job sites or confined spaces with mold, asbestos, lead or other contaminants. The basic idea is to isolate a room by creating lower pressure inside the room, so pathogens can’t escape into the rest of the facility. The process is complex and involves many technologies and protocols. Read more https://www.omnihomeideas.com/home-systems/air-scrubber-calculator/

Clearing the Air: How Air Scrubbers Help Remove Mold Contaminants

To achieve negative pressure more air needs to leave the room than enters it. A negative air machine, HEPA scrubber or air filter is a device that will achieve this by moving the total volume of the room’s cubic feet through a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter and exhausting it outside. The number of times the device moves this volume in an hour is called its flow rate or CFM and is used to calculate how often it must change the air in a room, known as its air changes per hour (ACH).

A negative air machine uses ducting to remove contaminated air from a contained area while maintaining a vacuum effect within the containment. It is a critical component of a cleanroom, a work area containment, or an isolation room during a cleaning/restoration project and helps to control dust, fumes, smoke, mold, odors, and bacteria from spreading throughout the property.

I am what you could call a permanent traveler. I’m in a constant need for a change of scenery. An almost animal instinct to see what’s going on elsewhere, to open my eyes to a new world, far from my native Spain. It was an epiphany: I belonged somewhere else and somewhere else was everywhere.
